fashionable activism has reviewed fresh meat stuff before, and now he has done a tile cassette that josh said he would be into if he bought it.

I bought this Cassette at the Fresh Meat/Middle America show a few weeks ago after it was recommended to me by one of them. Tile play perverted and heinous noise rock. Self discribed "Allentown, Pennsylvania sleezy, sludge, punk rock, noise band." For fans of Brainbombs, Flipper, Drunks With Guns or contemporaries Drunkdriver, Clockcleaner, etc. Tile has the singer of Fresh Meat/Carpenter Ant playing bass and vocals. Buy the re-press of their first 7" and their new 12" EP at Limited Appeal. I've heard nether. Apparently they've only played shows inside of PA, this should change. head to tilenoise for more news, mp3, contact etc.

Holy shit look at the cover of this record! This record sounds exactly like it's cover, it is like you are sitting on a chair, in a room, with this guy, and some weird shitty wallpaper, and someone has spray painted 'Fresh Meat' on the wall, and this guy, is just staring at you. Fresh Meat is basically how hardcore needs to sound to make me get remotely that fussed about it these days. This opens with a slowed down, but not crawling, song where a fucked off guy bellowing at you "I AM SO SICK OF YOU, WHY DON'T YOU JUST DO YOUR JOB". The main guitar riffs over and over whilst this guy just fucking shouts this litany of stuff at you, meanwhile the other guitar squeals randomly, possibly played with some intention, possibly not. And it just creeps on and on, The guy shouts the same thing, and you feel vaguely uncomfortable. On the flip-side, they do the same sort of thing, but a bit faster. Then they do another song that weirds me out. Shit man.

Fresh Meat have achieved what no other band has done since Functional Blackouts, they have made me question whether I should be enjoying a record. Good shit, check it out if you like hardcore to intimidate you rather than incite you to mosh.

the worlds worst dj...

while in Fargo, we were told we had a double booked show . in between bands, there would be a dj or some form of hip hop shit happening.

during Dj stupid birthdays set, which was full of suprises, he claimed he was the worst dj. but, he was full of "Fuck yeahs".

break from tour...

this is the new lost soul catalog. we had it ready . just got it up now.
